12 Jyotirlinga Yatra

The 12 Jyotirlingas are the most sacred shrines of Lord Shiva in Hinduism, spread across the country. PSG plans the yatra in stages or as one journey — comfortable travel, accommodation and darshan assistance, with Sparsh Darshan arranged where the temple allows it.

The sacred 12 Jyotirlinga temples of Lord Shiva, with comfortable tour packages suitable for parents and senior citizens — hotels, transfers and darshan assistance.
Best time to go

October to March for most shrines; Kedarnath opens roughly May to October.

Highlights

  • Somnath — the first Jyotirlinga, by the sea
  • Kashi Vishwanath — Mangala aarti at 3 am
  • Mahakaleshwar — the Bhasma aarti, Ujjain
  • Kedarnath — the Himalayan shrine, 3,583 m
  • Rameswaram — linked with Lord Rama
  • Grishneshwar — beside the Ellora caves

Why the yatra

These temples represent the divine manifestations of Lord Shiva, and visiting all twelve is considered highly auspicious and spiritually rewarding. PSG offers well-planned 12 Jyotirlinga Yatra packages with comfortable travel, accommodation and darshan assistance — designed so that parents and senior citizens can travel without strain.

How PSG runs it

  • Stages by region — Gujarat (Somnath, Nageshwar), Maharashtra (Bhimashankar, Trimbakeshwar, Grishneshwar), Madhya Pradesh (Omkareshwar, Mahakaleshwar), the north (Kashi Vishwanath, Kedarnath, Baidyanath), the south (Mallikarjuna, Ramanathaswamy)
  • Flights or trains between regions, private cab on the ground, hotels near the temples
  • Darshan timing built into each day — early aartis planned the night before
  • Group departures for families and senior-citizen groups on request

The twelve temples

Opening hours and aarti timings as PSG publishes them. Sparsh darshan — touching the lingam — is allowed at some shrines and not at others; we plan the early aartis the night before.
